GET WELL SOON // April 10th - April 30th 2021
Visual gallery is pleased to present Andrew Alcasid’s “Get Well Soon”, a series of floral still life works on paper. This recently completed body of work revisits the foundations of representational expression, in this case, the chosen subject is the Daisy. All works are captured from life in an array of colors and line forms that is signature and evident in Alcasid’s rarely seen representational work. “During my cancer treatments and post surgery recovery, I've found my love for watercolors and focused my passion for drawing in flower still lifes. Some days all I could do was paint because of the pain. I don’t pursue art as therapy but drawing and painting offered me relief from the physical and mental tolls of fighting cancer.” A triumphant celebration of moving forward with hopes and aim for a cancer free life, this series acts as evidence of the taxing work of the struggle and hard fight we’ve endured in these interesting times.

RECONNECT // June 6th - July 25th 2020
Reconnect is an interactive group art installation and exhibition.
The installation consists of a newsstand which is built and centered in the gallery. The exhibition includes the artists Randall Christopher, Esteban Rene, Jason Gould, Nat Isobaker, and kurznachzehn who showcase their work on the walls surrounding the newsstand. Works on paper and zines are displayed on the outer walls of the newsstand and act as the news of the day in place of newspapers and magazines. At the newsstand we offer coffee and cold drinks, candy and small merchandise.
With "RECONNECT" we want to offer people a space to detach from their phones, see artwork in real life again, enjoy a coffee and have a chat with others while staying safe. At this point we can only allow 4 vistitors at the same time inside the gallery.

SAVE KITSCHMAS // November 9th - December 6th 2019
Kitschmas is an Epic Tale of holiday clashes and the commercial exploitation of the season. The show rejoices in the season’s brazen consumerism, twinkling lights, television specials and saccharine-encrusted sentimentality. Brian and Ryan unabashedly exploit Christmas style and design from the mid-century to the present by repurposing Christmas decor, employing excessive bric-a-brac and designing original artworks for the exhibition. This show will serve to delight both young and old as it touches on Christmas genres past and present.
